Prosecutors
are seeking the death penalty against Mr. M and
Mr A of 3454 Macklind Ave., is to be tried on
the same charge later this year. Defense
attorney S. Lee Patton asked several times
Monday to present evidence showing Mr. M was playing
what was described as a fantasy game called "Dungeons
and Dragons." However, Voorhees denied the request,
calling it irrelevant to the case. Mr. M said
they tied up Miss Towey and put a bandage around
her neck "to mess with her mind , to tease her
(and ) make her think about the day (Friday 13th)."
Under cross examination by special prosecutor
John D. Chancellor, Mr. M said that despite smoking
marijuana and drinking beer and vodka, he " had
no problem" thinking that day.
